About This Project

Surrounded by lush, park-like grounds with uninterrupted views of the Buckets Range, Ardmore Park House is a masterful blend of heritage charm and contemporary elegance. This project unites the original brick veneer farmhouse with a 327 sqm extension, adding striking new wings that include an enclosed garage, open-plan living area, master suite, and entry foyer, seamlessly connecting the old with the new.

The entryway sets the tone, with a timber pergola of Merbau beams forming a welcoming canopy that draws visitors toward a vibrant blue front door, a playful detail bridging tradition and modernity. Vertical James Hardie 405 Stria cladding and bold skillion rooflines give the façade a fresh, architectural edge, while the home’s layout offers a sense of freedom and flow, making it the perfect environment for family gatherings and grandkids’ laughter.

Inside, a spacious open-plan living area unfolds beneath high raked ceilings, bathed in sunlight from strategically placed highlight windows. Rich Havwoods parquetry flooring brings both texture and warmth, while Vantage thermally broken, double-glazed windows ensure year-round comfort in a climate that ranges from scorching 45°C summers to frosty winters.
The centrepiece is an extraordinary brick fireplace featuring a handcrafted Cheminees Philippe firebox. Above it rests a hardwood lintel beam salvaged from the property itself, a piece of history reimagined. A clever wood-loading hatch allows logs to be delivered directly from outside, while also letting in a glimpse of light and landscape.

The dining area, crowned with understated iron-style chandeliers, frames panoramic views and flows into a kitchen designed for both elegance and efficiency. Here, deep green 2 Pac cabinetry contrasts beautifully with Dekton countertops and backsplash. Stainless steel Gaggenau appliances, open timber shelving, a discreet hideaway bar, and a sunlit butler’s pantry complete the heart of the home.

Bathrooms are tranquil retreats, where variations of green — from glossy emerald to muted jade — combine with artisanal tile textures for a spa-like feel. The master ensuite’s “loo with a view” and walk- behind shower offer moments of indulgence.

Living up to its name, Ardmore Park couldn’t get more park-like, a gorgeous retreat that our clients will enjoy for many years to come.
