A Place to Park the Kombi – Thoughtful Design Meets Trusted Craftsmanship

About This Project

After a difficult experience with a previous builder, Terry and Wendy sought a team they could trust to deliver quality and care, and found that reassurance with Sorensen Caldon Ferris. Their brief was clear: a home built to a specific budget, mindful of the flood height and bushfire regulations of the site, with a cohesive design linking the house and shed.

Nestled on a challenging battleaxe block, the home was carefully positioned to maximise street appeal while ensuring the garage remained a subtle, non- dominant feature. Preserving the natural beauty of the block was paramount, with many mature trees retained to maintain the park-like atmosphere.

Inside, the focus was on creating warm, inviting spaces with solid Australian Spotted Gum timber floors flowing throughout. A spacious kitchen with a large walk-in pantry became the heart of the home, combining functionality with style, ideal for family living and entertaining.

This project is a testament to meticulous planning, environmental sensitivity, and building trust through quality craftsmanship, delivering a home tailored to its owners’ needs and surroundings.
