Clients Brief
A family friendly Weekender that our clients could escape to from the big smoke.
One very important point for our client was being able to trust an experienced building company who could provide assurance that the outcome will be of the right quality.
Sorensen and Caldon was commissioned based on reputation and scale to be able to provide that assurance, knowing that they where not going to be living locally throughout the process, it was a well-executed lesson in trust and communication with a stunning outcome.
The key design features in the aesthetics of the house our clients listed as, an overall design that spoke of simplicity and minimisation of synthetic finishes and materials.
The latter points to them meant minimising obviously visible plastics or composite materials, and instead using natural timber, glass, metal, and concrete where possible.
The finish in the kitchen would be a combination of timber and concrete benchtops.
Overall this beautiful home oozes rustic class, perched high on the hill it is a testament to the client’s vision and Sorensen & Caldon’s attention to detail, the louvred windows means the breeze passes through the whole house and the expansive hardwood decks beckon you outside to sit and immerse yourself in the stunning rural surrounds.
